Here you should find everything you need to support your child with remote learning, if however you are struggling for any reason please get in touch with the school via phone, email, Class Dojo, Twitter or the Seesaw app – remember we are always here to help.
On the 1st October 2020 the Government published its document “Remote Education Good Practice” which set out the expectations for schools in the event of school closure, bubble closure or pupils self isolating. To read this document please click the link below.
We deliver remote learning through the new application, ‘Seesaw’. We have chosen this app as it will enable us to deliver effective and top-quality teaching during lockdown or periods of isolation. The app is very user friendly and accessible. Seesaw is a free app that can be downloaded on the app store or on Google Play. It can also be accessed online at: https://web.seesaw.me/
Teachers will mark and feedback on the work set and monitor pupils progress in a professional and confidential manner.
To log onto Seesaw you can go to your child’s individual class pages for the link and to see your class login QR code.
On Class pages you will also see a suggested schedule for your learning day. These are there to help you plan, please bare in mind these are guidance schedules only and you must make your day work for you and ensure you include regular brain breaks.
Please follow links below for support and information regarding Seesaw.
Mindfulness is a great way to help look after our mental health; it means quieting the mind and giving full attention to the present moment. There are believed to be lots of benefits such as improving our ability to focus, to stay calm and to help regulate our emotions. Below are some ideas to help your children practice mindfulness at home, courtesy of Joy Johnson our play therapist.
Please remember to share any activities you choose to do with us via, email, twitter or class dojo – We really do appreciate seeing your accomplishments.
Enjoy!
